COI edit requests response
[edit]I'm going to decline both edit requests. My issue with the first one is that I don't see this as an improvement at the moment. Then again, it might have also gone over my head. On the second one, I don't see any reliable sources to back up these statements. The one link the user provided is actually a primary source, considering it's part of the school's website. If you both would like to clarify your requests, you may do so below this line using the {{request edit}}
template again. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 23:46, 15 July 2017 (UTC)

Edit Request
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. Per WP:MISSION. |
The college's mission is "to promote the cause of Christ by providing a distinctively Christian-traditional, liberal arts education that develops students spiritually, intellectually, morally, culturally, and socially."[1]
The college's purpose "is to produce Christian leaders who are knowledgeable, articulate, moral, dedicated to excellence, and committed to serving Jesus Christ as they learn to influence the world by applying biblical principles in their chosen field and daily life."[2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by DenisGLabrecque (talk • contribs) 18:43, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

[edit]- The avoidance of mission statements is generally advised.

Kent Hovind
[edit]Someone is challenging to Kent Hovind section, and I'm wondering if we should 86 it altogether since it seems it is more of a Rebekah Horton thing than a PCC thing. Thoughts? PCHS-NJROTC (Messages)Have a blessed day. 02:10, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
- If there are no sources that link the matter to college policies, I would agree that it should go. In the last few months, I have thought about pulling the section myself since it feels like a little blip that does not add anything to big picture. I have not done an in-depth search recently, so this is not fresh in my mind, but I don't recall any sources that would suggest that this was a significant matter in the history of PCC. - I think I hear a Queen song coming from somewhere... "'nother one bites the dust!" Thank you for the second opinion. PCHS-NJROTC (Messages)Have a blessed day. 15:36, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
- You're welcome and thanks for pulling the trigger. A single story in a local newspaper does not a controversy make. Some people on the internet think it was a big to-do, but reliable sources suggest otherwise. BiologicalMe (talk) 15:45, 8 May 2019 (UTC)
- was there a reference to Kent Hovind in some way? The article has definitely lost some of its value as it was removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.17.216.1 (talk) 02:32, 19 January 2022 (UTC)

Should the King's Singers incident be covered, and if so, where?
[edit]The paragraph about the situation involving PCC and The King's Singers has been removed and re-added a couple times. Should it be included, and if so, where should the coverage of it go in the article? 206.204.236.102 (talk) 22:56, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
